Consider working with other WAHMs on joint business ventures

Working at home can sometimes be very lonely.  You are responsible for every aspect of your business.  Maybe you have an idea for expanding your business but don’t have the skills or background to make it work.  Have you ever thought about teaming up with another WAHM to expand your business?

Working with another WAHM is a great way to increase your business.  You’ll both be able to promote your own businesses while sharing in the profits.  Here’s an example:  you are a successful affiliate marketer while another WAHM is a successful copywriter.  Why not team up together to write an e-book on a topic utilizing your affiliate links?

If you don’t know anyone personally who has the skills you need, start to do some research in WAHM forums and contact them via email.  You can also ask for recommendations from known business associates or put a post on a WAHM message board.

Before agreeing to work with someone, interview several candidates.  Look at samples of their work.  Make sure this is a person you can work with – you’ll be working closely together for the duration of the project.  Be clear with each other as to how the work will be divided and establish clear guidelines as to deadlines and milestones so there is no confusion.  Also be very exact as to how the profits will be divided.

When you find a good partner, a joint venture with another WAHM can be a great way to increase your business and profits.

Whatever method you choose to find potential co-workers, interview several people before you make any decisions; you want the project to be a success. Look at samples of the work each person has done in the past. You will also want to make sure your personalities do not clash, as you will be spending a lot of time working together.

When you find someone you are interested in working with, make sure you both understand how the work will be divided, when the deadlines will be for each step of the project, how you are going to sell your product and how the profits will be divided.

Keep looking for other joint venture opportunities as they are win-win situations – you can offer a new product or service to your current customers and the new product can also bring you a whole slew of new customers!
