Magazines
As the mom of a toddler, I hardly ever get to do what was formerly one of my favorite hobbies – read books. While my little one is awake, it is almost impossible to read more than a page at a time. By the time he goes to bed, I am usually so exhausted from the day’s events; I myself am ready to drop. But still, I miss reading. So, I came up with an acceptable solution – reading magazines.
Most of the stories in the magazines are only two or three pages at most, so I have time to read the story before I completely forget what the main idea behind it was. I can also curl up in the tub with a good magazine and when I get through reading it, I feel like I have done something just for me – a rare treat! So if you are a busy mom who loves to read, but you don’t have much time to yourself, pick up your favorite magazine next time you are in the grocery store line and treat yourself – to a little reading!
