The perfect birthday party goody bag

When you are planning your child’s next birthday party, don’t forget about the goody bag.  Children love getting gifts and the goody bag is no exception.  As you get ready for your next big party, keep the following in mind when planning the perfect goody bag:

Age is important.  If you invite children of different ages you’re going to need to have items that are age appropriate.  (For example, you’re not going to give a three year old something that is a choking hazard).  When planning the goody bags also consider gender appropriate items if you have boys and girls attending the party.

Size matters.  Kids love to compare who gave away what at their party.  Try to have a few different items of different sizes included in your goody bags.

Price is not important.  You don’t need to buy high priced items for your goody bags.  It’s the bag itself that excites the child.  It’s better to put some thought into what you include in the bags rather than what each item costs.

Take quality over quantity.  Don’t fill up a bag with cheap toys so that you have a full bag.  Look for items that will last and that the kids will want to use.

What can you include in your goody bags?  How about:  plastic cups in the party theme, small notepads or Post-it-note pads, pencils, stickers, small lip balms, or bubbles.
