Recipe: Easy Double Chocolate Brownies
I love anything with chocolate, and this recipe is no exception. People think making brownies from scratch is hard, but it really isn’t. Give this recipe a try and you’ll impress everyone at your next meeting or party.
Ingredients:
- 2 cups (1 12 oz. package) Nestle Tool House Semi-Sweet Chocolate morsels, divided
- ½ cup (1 stick) butter or margarine, cut into pieces
- 3 eggs
- 1 ¼ cup all purpose flour
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- ¼ teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- ½ cup chopped nuts (optional)
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease 9 X 13 baking pan and set aside.
Melt 1 cup morsels and butter in large, heavy duty saucepan over low heat; stir until smooth. Remove from heat. Add eggs, stir well, Add flour, baking soda, sugar, and vanilla extract, stir well. Stir in remaining morsels and nuts (if desired). Spread into prepared baking pan.
Bake for 18 to 22 minutes or until wooden pick inserted in center comes out slightly sticky. Cool completely in pan on wire rack.
Makes 2 dozen brownies.
