Recipe: Peanut and Chocolate Cake
Peanutty Goober Cake
I found this recipe many years ago and it is still as delicious as the first time I made it.
Here’s your list of ingredients:
- 1 package yellow cake mix
- 1 cup creamy peanut butter
- ½ cup packed light brown sugar
- 1 cup water
- 3 large eggs
- ¼ cup vegetable oil
- 1 cup (6 oz.) Nestle Toll House Peanut Butter and Milk Chocolate Morsels, divided
- 1 cup Nestle Goobers Milk Chocolate Covered Peanuts
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Lightly grease 9 X 13 baking pan and set aside. Using an electric mixer, beat cake mix, peanut butter and sugar in large bowl until crumbly. Set aside ½ cup of the crumb mixture. Add water, eggs and oil to the remaining crumb mixture and blend on low speed until moistened, then continue to beat on high speed for 2 minutes. Stir in ½ cup morsels. Pour into prepared baking pan. Sprinkle Goobers, remaining morsels and reserved crumb mixture over batter.
Bake for 40 to 45 minutes or until a wooden pick inserted in center of the cake comes out clean. Cool completely in pan on a wire rack.
