Recipe: Quick and easy quiche
My friend is such a great cook that she could open her own restaurant some day. This is one of her recipes that are simple to make but taste like they took hours.
Ingredients:
1 bag frozen broccoli
5 eggs, beaten
1 small onion, chopped
1 ¾ cups shredded cheddar cheese or jack cheese
5 pieces cut up or shredded Swiss cheese
1 ready made frozen pie crust
Salt and pepper, to taste
Directions:
Preheat oven according to directions on the pie crust package. Run the broccoli under cold water and drain in colander. Place inside the pie crust with the onion. Pour the eggs over the broccoli. Fold in the shredded cheese and place the Swiss cheese on top. Add salt and pepper to taste. Bake in the oven according to the directions on the pie crust package, or until the crust appears to be golden brown and the cheeses are fully melted.
Variation:
You can add cut up ham to this quiche. Add the ham (as much as you like) when you add the eggs to the recipe.
