How to make homemade lemonade
Making your own lemonade at home is really simple to do. You can easily get your children involved and it makes a nice afternoon project on a hot summer day.
Here’s a basic recipe of how to make homemade lemonade:
1 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice (you will need 6 to 8 lemons to get this)
5 cups water, divided
1 cup sugar
Combine one cup of water and the sugar together and cook on the stove to make a simple syrup. All you need to do to make simple syrup is to mix the water and sugar together in a small saucepan and cook until the sugar is completely dissolved. Once the sugar is dissolved remove the pot from the heat.
Juice the lemons to make one cup of lemon juice. I like to use a strainer to make sure I catch all the seeds and pulp from the juice. Combine that in a pitcher with the simple syrup and four cups of water.
That’s it. Now you have some delicious homemade lemonade!
