Main dish recipe: Meatballs, Mushrooms and Sausage
My sister-in-law gave me this recipe. Her children love it. It is easy to make and delicious.
First, make your meatballs. Here’s what you’ll need for this part of the recipe:
- 1 pound hamburger
- 2 eggs
- ½ cup water½ cup bread crumbs
- 1 teaspoon salt
- dash pepper
- dash onion powder
- dash parsley
Mix together and roll into miniature meatballs. Place in 9 x 13 baking pan.
For the rest of the recipe you’ll need:
- sausage, cut up (as much as you like)
- 1 large can mushroom pieces, or 1 cup fresh mushrooms, sliced
- dash parsley
- dash basil
- dash oregano
Slice sausage thin and add to meatballs. Add the mushrooms and the spices. Cover and bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes. Uncover and bake an additional 30 minutes.
You can serve this dish over cooked pasta if you like.
