I hate ignorant and annoying people!
I have little tolerance for people overall. I’m beginning to think that I’m becoming a very angry person in my old age. I do try and give the benefit of the doubt when it seems as if a person is trying his or her best, is in a bad situation, or is truly sorry when they do something that is annoying. This is not the case with the people I’m about to speak of today. Their names do not need to be changed to protect the innocent. I have no idea who they are.
Person 1: the ignoramus in the white SUV at the bank. I was running a bit late to meet a friend for lunch. I wanted to stop at the ATM on my way to pick her up. I had both the boys in the backseat of the car. You can’t see the drive up ATM lane at my bank until you turn the corner to approach. As I’m making the turn I see this white SUV parked at an angle in the lot. He or she was blocking both teller lanes as well as the ATM. This person was just so important that he/she couldn’t wait in line behind one of the cars. He/she had to find out which one would be finished first so they could use that teller lane.
What a lazy piece of dirt. I’m sitting behind this person, creeping up as close as I can to the bumper. I’m a cautious driver in my minivan and there just wasn’t enough space for me to get through to the teller lane. Someone came behind me, motioning that they too wanted the ATM lane. I tried to sign me too. Finally this jerk moves the car so I can approach the machine and get my money.
Person 2: the old lady at Wal-Mart. After a really nice lunch with the kids and my friend we ran over to Wal-Mart to do some shopping. I like to pull into a parking space where I don’t have to back out, so we usually are parked pretty far from the store. This is ok. As we are walking to the store this woman stops me and says “do you need a cart?” Now someone not as cynical as I would think she is trying to be nice. Perhaps there was a shortage of carts at the store on a Tuesday afternoon in June. Is she really looking out for me? No way. Lazy, lazy, lazy. I said “no, thanks” and walked away. And this lazy woman pulls one of my other big pet peeves. She pushes the cart into an empty space so she doesn’t have to walk to the cart corral.
Is it just me? Am I turning into a bitter, angry person? Or are these people really ignorant and annoying?
